Many companies as well as individuals do not place their apprehension over data recovery until they face that odd creepy day of losing important data. The next week could have been a valued mile stone as your company was to sign a million dollar deal and today as your hard disk crashed; it is scarier than the bed watering dreams. This is not a line from a film; rather we have heard similar lines in real life.
Following are some of the indications that show a data loss or a signal that it will occur soon:
There is a clicking or grinding noise coming out of the drive while operating
The hard drive appears silent or not spinning up when powered on
The system is not booting up, or doing so in an unusual fashion
The hard drive is not detected by the system BIOS
Files and folders suddenly disappear from directory listings
