Small businesses lack the efficient systems for preventing and recuperating from data loss, according to an individual report authorised by Kroll Ontrack.
The survey questioned IT professionals from companies across Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong to ascertain their exercises of data deletion, data loss and data archive process.
Almost half of the responders underwent data loss in the workplace and thirty-six percentage think data loss could significantly affect their business concern. However, forty-nine percentage of small companies neglect to back up their data on a day by day basis.
The report revealed an alarming approach to the computer storage, retention, backup and disposal of organisations invaluable data, said Adrian Briscoe, General Manager, Ontrack Data Recovery APAC, a division of Kroll Ontrack.
Briscoe said data loss can affect business productivity, however small businesses were less probable to have a policy for the conservation of information.
